Chat No 2 with Moraima
We had the opportunity to catch up with Moraima! The first interview was back in August 2019 when she was our resident Yoga teacher. Back then we had a candid conversation about Moraima’s experience returning to her home country. And now, over a year later, she shares the next chapters of her life with us and answers amongst others the following questions:
- How do you feel now, compared to August last year? What has changed? Where is home?
- Back then you were our resident yoga teacher and the plan was to move back to the US. In the end you moved to the US and shortly after came back 🙂 you took over a role at Taino Farm and then COVID-19 happened. How did you perceive the beginning of the pandemic?
- You became active in the community pretty soon to relieve the pandemic food shortages in local communities with low income. What exactly did you do?
- How did Cabarete Sostenible start? What is it?
- Besides the food relief part, Cabarete Sostenible has other parts/ projects?
- What are the challenges?
- What impact does Cabarete Sostenible have?
- What makes it fun/ interesting for you, what lights you up when you think about Cabarete Sostenible?
- What are the next steps?
- What role does Yoga play in in your life now?
Enjoy the interview! Thank you very much Moraima for sharing your story!
