Chrissy Lefavour will lead trainees through the following categories of study:
Practice/Technique, Anatomy/Physiology, Philosophy, Teaching Methodology and the Grateful Yogi. This training program offers yogis who are new to the program to start and complete the 200 hours in 4 weeks. Pre-enrolled Grateful Yoga students may choose to join in for 1-3 weeks, gaining 45 hours of training each week.
Training days will be Mon-Fri with the weekends free for island adventures, relaxation, reflection and/or excursions.
2 organic farm-to-table meals (breakfast and dinner) are included daily. Accommodations are a shared room with one other yogi, every room has a ocean view balcony, small fridge and bathroom (private rooms are available at an additional cost). Vegetarian, vegan and other dietary needs can all be met! Onsite there is a restaurant, gym, pool, circus school, water sports and the hotel is literally steps from the beach!!! Another reason we love the eXtreme Hotel is their commitment to sustainability and supporting the local Dominican community.
Why the Grateful Yoga teacher training? Grateful Yogis are students for life. We teach what we love in the spirit of both sharing and learning with the world around us. Our asana practice is both physical and spiritual, combining the foundations of Ashtanga, breath + bandha + drishti, with different styles for a well rounded and dynamic practice. Our old-school orientation attracts students who are self-motivated, driven by love and open to the experience of yoga.
